We apologize. Its has been awhile since our last update. Welcome 2009. Our Chalmette location is open!
As many know on August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina destroyed Z Hair and our home next door. The entire home town of Chalmette where we grew up in located in the Parish of St.Bernard, suffered massive flooding and wind damage. Every home in our town was flooded. Many homes were destroyed beyond recognition . Thousands have rebuilt and relocated since.The New Orleans area continues to grow with progress.Our lives have not been the same since.
We are asked like so many others who live in the area that day, "how did we get through it?" We all have a story and that what makes the event personal. We look forward to hearing the many stories of has transpired since that day. When we travel abroad many people encounter what to hear about how we went from devastation to rebuilding. Glenn will be posting a journal of our story and others.

In September 2001,Marilyn and Glenn Binder proudly welcomed their daughter, Rachelle to the family business as the 3rd generation family member to have a career in the beauty/barber industry. Rachelle has graduated with top honors from the Paul Mitchell Signature Cosmetology School in Slidell, LA and has completed all the Louisiana State Board Cosmetology requirements for her Cosmetology License. Over the past 5 years under guidance of her mom, Rachelle has distinguished herself as a Redken Color Specialist and a premier creative color artist in the New Orleans Metropolitan area.
